The Problem

People who want to learn Ancient Greek or Latin typically have to piece together separate resources: a printed text, a paper dictionary, scholarly commentaries, and a translation, plus a separate grammar textbook and vocabulary drills. Connecting the language you are learning to real ancient texts (from Homer to medieval scholastics) is slow and disjointed without a guided system. Keeping up consistent daily practice is also hard without short, repeatable exercises tied to what you've already studied.

The Solution

AKRO combines a reading library with a structured course path. In the library, users read and listen to original Greek and Latin texts with synchronized word highlighting, can press and hold any word to open a dictionary entry, read scholarly commentary for language and historical context, and open a verified modern-language translation. The learning path takes users from choosing a language (Greek or Latin, with progress tracked through 4 to 6 lessons per section) through grammar explanations drawn from established academic textbooks, vocabulary organized by morphology with mnemonic cards, and five types of interactive exercises. A daily mode offers 10 to 15 minutes of interactive exercises based on texts from the library to maintain practice.
