The Problem

People working with AI tools end up with scattered to-do lists, email threads, meeting notes, and chat conversations that don't stay connected to each other. Important context, like what was agreed on a call or what a draft was for, gets lost between tools, forcing people to re-explain things or hunt for where a conversation left off. Maintaining a separate to-do list on top of this is extra overhead. Almanac's FAQ addresses this directly by promising that tasks and follow-ups are picked up automatically from conversations and connected accounts rather than requiring manual list-keeping.

The Solution

Almanac is a Mac desktop app that combines tasks, projects, and a wiki into one workspace built around a user's conversations. It connects to accounts like email, calendar, and iMessage so that emails, meetings, and decisions automatically become part of a connected wiki of people and projects. Opening a task surfaces the related conversation and any work already prepared, such as a drafted reply, so the user can edit or continue it directly. The product's default behavior is to prepare drafts and research in the background while leaving consequential final actions, like sending messages, to the user unless told otherwise. It requires a connected ChatGPT subscription, since Almanac provides the workspace and cloud infrastructure while model usage draws on the user's Codex limits.
