Animation Inc. builds a real-time, on-device AI engine that animates 3D characters with live motion and emotion for AI
The Problem
Companies building AI companions and virtual characters today rely on pre-rendered generative video clips or traditional motion capture and manual animation, which produce short, static, non-interactive scenes rather than continuous, responsive presence. This leaves AI characters feeling abstract and disconnected from human experience, unable to react instantly to a user's voice, emotion, or spoken keywords. The text frames this as a core limitation holding back believable virtual interactions, customer support avatars, language tutors, and similar applications.
The Solution
Animation Inc. has built Ani-2, a proprietary on-device AI model that generates full-body 3D character motion in real time, with a stated inference speed of 2.5 ms per frame, requiring no motion capture, cloud connection, or delay. Developers use an AnimationSDK (shown via SwiftUI code samples) to load environments, switch scenes based on detected emotion or conversation keywords, and trigger character behaviors like intro phrases, gesture demonstrations, or reactions to completed tasks. The platform runs on iOS, Android, Mac, and Windows, and the company describes two additional offerings as coming soon: Interactive Livestreaming, for controlling characters live in front of an audience, and a Content Production Engine for turning ideas into videos with character consistency. Together these are positioned as one stack supporting real-time, interactive, on-device 3D character animation for companion apps, streaming, and video production.
