Billbase
Billbase is a subscription tracker with an AI analyst that alerts people before renewals hit and shows where their money
The Problem
People underestimate their subscription spending, by the site's own claim by about 3x. Subscriptions are scattered across streaming, work tools, cloud storage and music services, renew on different cycles and in different currencies, and often get forgotten, leading to surprise charges, duplicate services like paying for two cloud storage plans, and unnoticed price increases. Testimonials describe people finding $38 to over $1,200 a year in subscriptions they had forgotten about. Without a central view, there is no easy way to see a true monthly total, know what renews this week, or catch a trial before it converts to a paid plan.
The Solution
Billbase lets users add subscriptions from a catalogue of over 200 services or enter custom ones, set the price and billing cycle, and see every renewal on one calendar across multiple workspaces (personal, work, family). It sends reminders before each renewal and trial expiration, converts foreign-currency charges into the user's own currency using daily exchange rates, and can import subscriptions from an uploaded bank statement PDF or CSV for the user to confirm. Its analytics show monthly and yearly totals, spend by category, cost per subscription, a 12-month trend, and a breakdown of net change from added, cancelled, and price-changed subscriptions. Billy, a built-in AI analyst, answers plain-language questions about spending (e.g. "What did I spend on streaming this year?") and suggests concrete next steps like cancelling or pausing a specific subscription with the exact savings.
