The Problem

Founders at early-stage startups need to hire exceptional engineers and operators quickly, but sourcing and vetting candidates takes endless hours they don't have. Traditional recruiters don't understand what startup culture fit actually means, so founders end up sifting through unqualified or poorly matched candidates. The page describes founders wanting people who can thrive in the chaos of early-stage work, not just candidates with the right technical resume. Without a partner who has actually built and scaled a startup, founders are left owning a slow, time-intensive hiring process on top of everything else.

The Solution

Candor is a recruiting service built by founders for founders, focused on getting startups pre-vetted candidates in days rather than weeks. The process runs in four steps: founders define open roles and culture, Candor uses AI-powered sourcing to send matched candidates, the founder reviews and interviews candidates already screened for technical skill and culture fit, and then makes an offer with Candor's support throughout. Candor draws on a database of 30k+ candidates and targets fullstack, frontend/backend, AI/ML, data, DevOps, and mobile engineers. It works specifically with Seed, Series A, and Series B companies, charges a placement fee only when a candidate accepts an offer, and also offers salary benchmarking and market insight for new hiring locations.
