People who want to stay informed about topics, creators, and feeds they care about currently have to check a dozen different apps and websites, like Reddit, YouTube, blogs, and newsletters, and manage subscriptions across multiple platforms. This scattered browsing wastes time and makes it easy to miss updates from sources they care about. There is no single place to scan everything worth reading each day, so people either overload themselves trying to keep up or miss content entirely.

CortadoMail lets users log in to a web app and customize which sources feed into their daily email, choosing from Hacker News, newsletters, Wikipedia's featured article and daily xkcd, RSS/Atom blog feeds, Reddit and any subreddit, local weather forecasts, YouTube channel uploads, and stock price tracking. Each morning, users receive one email consolidating updates from all selected sources, which they can read directly in the email or send to a read-it-later service like Pocket or Instapaper. This centralizes information management in the inbox users already check daily, replacing the need to browse multiple apps and sites separately.
