The Problem

People working under deadlines often build a spreadsheet, a written report, and a slide deck that all describe the same numbers, but these files live separately. When one number changes, like a new order coming in or a forecast assumption shifting, someone has to manually update the spreadsheet, rewrite the report, and redo the slides to keep them consistent. When a number looks wrong or inconsistent across documents, such as a slide showing 500 units while a morning report said 480, there is no easy way to see why without digging back through emails or files. People also struggle to explain how they arrived at a conclusion when asked, since the reasoning behind a forecast or figure usually isn't written down anywhere accessible.

The Solution

DeepCell introduces a '.deepcell' file format that weaves together a spreadsheet, a written report, presentation slides, and a 'cheat sheet' that documents how conclusions were reached, all in one linked document. Editing a number in one part, like changing an expected growth rate, automatically updates the forecast, the report text, and the slide figures throughout the file. Users can click on any number to follow it back to its source, such as a specific spreadsheet file or the moment a new order was logged, which resolves discrepancies between documents. DeepCell also supports an AI agent workflow: users can point an agent to DeepCell's documentation, have it install a DeepCell plugin and CLI, and then create or update a .deepcell file as part of an agent-driven task. The product offers a free tier to start and has separate pricing and documentation pages.
