E1O (E1 Optics)
E1O makes camera-free AI glasses that show a personal AI assistant's output
The Problem
People who rely on AI tools, like coding agents, email drafting, or translation, still have to go back to a screen to see what the AI produced or to respond, even after they've delegated the work. The page illustrates this with scenes like being stuck at a desk waiting on test results, missing context in a meeting because notes are on a phone, or needing a translation during a live conversation with a waiter. The cost described is that AI assistance stays tied to a screen, so the user's day still stops to check a device instead of continuing naturally.
The Solution
E1O is a pair of camera-free glasses that display a personal AI assistant's output directly in the wearer's field of view, connected through a companion phone app. Demonstrated capabilities include following and controlling Claude Code and Codex sessions on a Mac that stays awake and connected, surfacing relevant notes during conversations, showing live translation of spoken foreign language, reviewing and approving AI-drafted email replies with swipe gestures, and displaying a live Twitch chat feed with a companion phone app to catch up later. The E1O phone app connects services and manages the overall experience, while the glasses themselves only display information rather than capture it with a camera.
