The Problem

Companies deploying AI agents today often give them one shared key with too much access, encode policies in prompts that are never actually enforced, and let agents act across many tools without any shared record of what happened. Traditional identity and access systems were built for human logins and APIs, not for agents that cross tools, act on behalf of specific people, and make autonomous decisions. This leaves organizations unable to say precisely which agent did what, for whom, and whether it was allowed. Developers building agentic products for customers face a related problem: they need to hold and manage customer credentials and tokens themselves, which creates security and liability burdens.

The Solution

Fabriq sits between agents and the tools they use, acting as a single connection point that carries authentication, credentials, and policy with every request. Each agent gets a unique identity, and requests carry the acting user's identity so permissions are checked at the tool boundary as the intersection of what the agent is allowed to do and what the user is allowed to do. Credentials are kept in a vault outside agent context so agents and products never hold raw tokens, and every action is logged into an audit trail showing the agent, user, verdict, and request metadata for incident investigation and compliance. Setup involves registering an agent, letting each user approve tool access through a hosted consent screen, and minting short-lived scoped tokens called through a gateway or MCP connection; it offers SDKs and REST APIs and supports frameworks like LangChain, CrewAI, AutoGen, and OpenAI Agents. The platform serves two paths: internal agents that act for employees inside a company, and a developer platform (paired with a product called mnemiq) for companies building agents that act on behalf of their own customers.

Why Now?

The page frames this as the next shift in identity after SSO (SaaS), IAM (cloud), and OAuth (APIs), arguing that agentic computing now requires a new identity and permissions layer.
