Foresight
Foresight monitors global regulatory and chemical compliance rules and runs the compliance projects that follow
The Problem
Companies selling physical products must track regulations across hundreds of regulators and official journals (REACH, RoHS, PPWR, Prop 65, PFAS rules, and more) and map how each obligation applies to specific products, formats, and substances. Today this means manually answering lengthy customer substance questionnaires, chasing suppliers for missing data, and keeping declarations current as rules change, such as new PFAS limits or sunset dates on authorisations. The example shown involves an 86 question customer questionnaire spanning four regulatory regimes, requiring cross-checking against internal formulation records and outreach to multiple suppliers for the remainder. Each answer must be traceable to a source, and obligations must be rechecked as regulations are amended, which is slow and error prone when done by hand.
The Solution
Foresight is a platform that watches over 780 regulatory topics across named regulators and official journals (ECHA, US EPA, EFSA, Federal Register, and many others) and structures this information by substance, with classification, applicable lists, and dates. It maps obligations to a company's actual products through Lists that agents fill in with sourced facts, such as checking each product against RoHS, SCIP, CLP, and REACH restrictions. Users describe a need in plain language (a Project), and the Assistant plans the work, drafts deliverables such as a completed questionnaire or a PPWR packaging compliance programme, and cites the exact regulatory passage behind each claim. Workflows handle recurring tasks like supplier outreach for missing data, and every answer or value is checked against its underlying source and kept current as regulations change. Other components include an Assistant for ad hoc questions, shared Documents, and Monitoring that scores incoming regulatory alerts by relevance.
