Gradon
Gradon is an AI partner that does production engineering and drafting work for AEC firms inside their own software
The Problem
Architecture, engineering and construction firms rely on licensed engineers and architects to manually produce drawing sets, calc packages, and reports in tools like Civil 3D, Revit and ETABS. This production work is time-intensive: the page cites a project scoped at 750 hours by hand at a 50-person civil firm. Firms are limited in how many projects they can take on by the number of engineers they have and the hours those engineers spend on repetitive production tasks rather than higher-value work.
The Solution
Gradon lets engineers message it like a colleague and assign a project; it then produces finished deliverables such as full CD sets, MEP coordination models, structural drawing sets and calc packages, or architectural Revit models, working directly inside the firm's existing software (Civil 3D, Revit, ETABS, Bluebeam, HEC-RAS, and others) and pulling in public data sources like FEMA, NOAA and USGS. Before doing any work, a 'Firm Brain' is built from the firm's past projects, standards and details so outputs match the firm's existing conventions. Gradon's team onboards firms in person, setting up data infrastructure, connecting tools, and building out workflows for specific job types, then stays engaged through an ongoing Slack channel. All outputs are labeled as AI-produced and require review and sign-off by a licensed professional.
