IMPACT
IMPACT provides a containerized counter-drone defense service that protects airports, refineries
The Problem
Critical infrastructure operators such as airports, oil refineries, power substations and data centers face a growing wave of drone incidents, from explosive-laden FPV drones to large Shahed-style barrages. The page lists dozens of publicly reported cases where drones shut down airports for hours, knocked out refineries and gas fields, cut power to towns, and in some cases caused casualties. These disruptions force flight diversions, halt industrial output, and damage physical assets, often with no counter-drone system in place to intercept the threat before impact. The site frames this as a widening problem because, in its words, drones are too cheap to ignore.
The Solution
IMPACT sells a standardized container unit that acts as an all in one counter-drone platform: its roof opens, a sensor mast rises, and it can launch one of three interchangeable interceptors depending on the threat. WEAVER is described as a net interceptor that keeps evidence intact, HUNTER as a quad interceptor that is fast and ready in the bay, and SABLE as a jet interceptor with a 750 km/h design speed. The container senses using its own mast plus the customer's existing radars, decides on site, and launches, but IMPACT states that it operates the system while the customer's own authority clears every launch. Bays are built with open power, data and rearm connections so interceptor types can change without replacing the container, and the company pitches one container per site (for example per substation) as a repeatable unit across many locations.
Why Now?
The page argues timing through an extensive, dated list of real and near-future drone incidents against airports, refineries, grids and data centers, framing drones as cheap, frequent, and currently unaddressed threats to infrastructure.
