Today those calls go to voicemail or rigid call trees, and callers who don't get an answer often call the next company instead. Front desk staff also spend time answering routine questions, checking calendar availability, and collecting caller details before a job can be booked. Missed or mishandled calls mean lost bookings and no record of what the caller needed.

LobbyStack is an AI receptionist that answers phone calls either all the time or only when the team is busy or unavailable. It answers caller questions using information imported from the business's website and uploaded documents (PDFs, Word files), supports 70+ languages, and collects caller names, contact info, service needs, and timing. It connects to Google Calendar to check availability, offer open times, book appointments, and text confirmations to callers. Urgent or unusual calls are transferred to a human number set by the business, with the caller's reason and details preserved in the transcript. The dashboard lets teams review call recordings, transcripts, and summaries, and update services, pricing, policies, and instructions without a developer. LobbyStack is open source and can be self-hosted or used as a hosted cloud service.
