LockinTown
LockinTown offers a free virtual study room where people study, work, read or meditate alongside others in live 3D
The Problem
People who want to study, work, read or meditate often need a sense of accompaniment to stay focused, but traditional video call based coworking tools require a camera or microphone, which can feel exposing or uncomfortable. LockinTown addresses this for people who want a body-double effect without being seen or heard. The site frames focus as something built from small steps: one task at a time, with breaks counted as part of the work.
The Solution
LockinTown is a free virtual study room where users pick a cozy live 3D room, choose a seat, set a goal, and start a focus timer while seeing other people focusing in the same room. Users appear as their own customizable character rather than on camera, and there is no microphone or camera use at any point, with text chat available instead. The product includes a daily streak mechanic to encourage regular focus sessions, and safety tools such as reporting and blocking any person, message or server from a player card. It runs in a web browser on computer or phone, with native iPhone and Android apps planned and a waitlist available for launch notification. An optional paid tier, LockinTown Pro, unlocks every room, detailed focus stats, and a gold Pro badge, with a 7-day free trial and cancellation at any time.
