The Problem

Developers, designers and marketers who run websites often let SEO fall to the bottom of the to-do list, and small code or CMS changes can silently break meta descriptions, canonical URLs, or noindex tags. One example from the site describes a deploy that removed 12 meta descriptions and altered 8 canonical URLs, causing a 23% drop in impressions within hours. Teams typically only notice these problems after traffic or rankings have already dropped, and figuring out why traffic changed usually requires manually digging through deploy logs and page source rather than getting a plain-language answer.

The Solution

maptrics monitors a site's pages by crawling the sitemap and extracting titles, meta tags, OG tags, and structured data, then produces a health score and flags specific issues like broken meta or altered canonical URLs. Users can connect a deploy webhook (Vercel supported, more coming) so they get notified right after a deploy if something broke SEO, and they can connect Google Search Console to pull in rankings and traffic data. The product also includes an AI analysis feature that answers plain-language questions like 'why did our blog traffic drop after the last deploy,' pointing to the likely cause such as removed noindex tags. Setup is described as no-code and takes about 5 minutes, and there is a public leaderboard showing SEO health scores of monitored websites.
