The Problem

Developers and businesses that need to generate invoices, reports, certificates, social media images, or OG tag images often need a reliable way to turn HTML content into image or PDF files programmatically. Building this conversion pipeline in-house requires handling rendering, formatting, resolution, and file generation logic, along with support for various formats and dimensions. Without a dedicated tool, teams must write and maintain custom code for HTML-to-image or HTML-to-PDF conversion, which can be error-prone and time consuming to keep pixel-perfect and scalable.

The Solution

MarkupGo is an API that converts HTML, Markdown, templates, and URLs into images and PDFs. Users can create a single template with full HTML, CSS, and JS support and reuse it across multiple conversions by passing in dynamic data, avoiding the need to rebuild designs for each document. It offers a 'Magic Template URL' feature that lets non-developers generate images and PDFs directly from a URL with query parameters, without writing code or making API calls, useful for OG tag images, social posts, invoices, and reports. The platform also includes an image transformation API for resizing, adjusting brightness, blur, and rotation via query strings, PDF-specific features like custom headers, footers, margins, metadata, and accessibility support, plus a dashboard with analytics on tasks created, downloads, views, and bandwidth usage.
