The Problem

People managing medication schedules or tracking menstrual cycles often rely on apps that require accounts, sync to the cloud, and quietly include ad or analytics SDKs, exposing sensitive health data such as what they take and what their body does. Phones are frequently kept on silent, so ordinary notification-based reminders can be missed, turning a dose reminder into just another ignored alert. Existing tools handle these specific problems badly, according to Mintlane, either by mishandling sensitive data or by failing at the basic job of alerting someone reliably.

The Solution

Mintlane builds small, focused apps that work entirely offline and store data locally in an AES-256 encrypted database, with no account requirement, no ad tracking SDKs, and no analytics libraries. Medifix, its medication reminder app, uses exact alarms on Android and critical alerts on iOS so reminders behave like an alarm clock rather than a notification, and it includes drug interaction hints, an allergy profile, adherence history, and end-to-end encrypted caregiver sharing; it is live on Google Play and the App Store in 9 languages. Noralia, a private cycle tracking app, offers period, symptom, and mood tracking with no account or cloud sync, framing predictions as estimates and keeping reminders discreet by default; it is currently prepared for store review. Users can export or delete their own data without contacting support, and every requested permission is named and explained.
