The Problem

People have fleeting ideas, details, and moments throughout the day that get lost because capturing them requires pulling out a phone and typing or opening an app. Important thoughts like an idea from earlier in the week, a small detail about a loved one, or a reply to think through get forgotten or never acted on. Today this means relying on memory alone or awkwardly stopping to type notes, which breaks the flow of daily life.

The Solution

Jalapeño is a small wearable device (about 13 grams) with its own mic and speaker that pairs with an iPhone over Bluetooth to access the internet. Users speak to it naturally to build out ideas, retrieve forgotten details, stay connected to people, or talk through thoughts, and it responds proactively, for example surfacing an old idea or flagging a changed meeting time. It has no camera, offers about 30 hours of battery life with voice-triggered audio, charges via USB-C, and includes a one-tap pause for listening. Privacy is handled through the iPhone's Secure Enclave, which protects recording keys, and iCloud Keychain, which seals voice enrollment and voiceprints before upload.
