The Problem
Shopping is moving to AI agents, but agents can't be trusted to buy. Product data is stale, checkout breaks at the cart, and every agent is funded by sellers, so it pushes what pays most, not what's right for you. Merchants feel it worse. An order arrives from a machine: no customer data, no relationship, and their retail media business goes dark. Two parties, both stuck. The agent doesn't own the data. The store doesn't own the buyer.
The Solution
Uverest is the layer between them. Agents plug in once and get clean, agent-ready product data, recommendations tuned to the buyer, and rails that place a real order in the merchant's system. Merchants get demand they'd never reach, higher conversion, fewer returns. What's different is allegiance. We hold no inventory, run no ad network, and sell no placement. So nobody can pay us for a better ranking. That's a revenue model, not a promise.
Why Now?
Three things landed inside 18 months. Amazon, Google and OpenAI all shipped agentic commerce. Amazon is building a 40-person team just to connect to outside agents. The protocols standardized: MCP, ACP, UCP. And inference got cheap enough to personalize every result for a fraction of a cent. Intelligence outran the plumbing. Agents can recommend well and still can't buy reliably. That gap closes in the next two years by whoever fills it.
What Makes This Hard?
Three things to rebuild, one they can't. The data: 3M products across 15,000 brands, 18 months of normalization. The buyer graph: 26% retention vs an 8% norm, and it compounds, leaving means starting over. Protocol distribution: we publish on all of them, so more standards mean more front doors. The one they can't copy is the business model. Every incumbent would have to give up the ads or inventory that pay them.
