Nearer
Nearer is a card-based to-do, routine, and flashcard app that shows one task at a time instead of a full list.
The Problem
People managing tasks, repeatable routines, and study material often use a to-do list that shows every unfinished item at once, forcing them to keep scanning, comparing priorities, and deciding where to start. This constant re-evaluation creates noise and overwhelm, making it easy to feel behind before any work begins. The page frames this as spiraling about what is left rather than simply doing the list. It targets people with long to-do lists, repeatable daily routines, and exam or study prep who want to avoid rebuilding momentum after every checkoff.
The Solution
Nearer is a card-based app for tasks, routines, and flashcards that displays one active card at a time while keeping the rest of the list nearby but out of view. When a card is marked complete, the app automatically advances to the next one without requiring the user to scan or reprioritize. Routines can be reset on daily, weekly, monthly, yearly, manual, or on-completion schedules, letting repeatable work reappear without setup each time. List-level controls such as a progress bar, timer, card reordering, and routine resets are tucked away by default and can be toggled on when helpful. The same flow also supports flashcard-style studying, where a card holds a question that can be flipped to check the answer.
