In-house legal teams receive a constant stream of requests through Slack, Teams, Gmail and Outlook: contract redlines, consent forms, vendor approvals, DPA renewals and more. Today someone on the legal team has to manually read each request, check it against company playbooks and past deals, draft a response, and track what is still waiting on other departments like IT, Product or Security. This process requires forwarding documents, reconstructing context from past agreements, and manually citing the relevant clause or precedent before a reply can be sent. The result is time spent on repetitive drafting and status-tracking work that delays decisions needing a lawyer's actual judgment.

Neomatter connects to the channels and tools a legal team already uses (Gmail, Outlook, Teams, Slack, and systems like Salesforce, Ironclad, ServiceNow, Jira, Zendesk, HubSpot and Airtable) and picks up each incoming request automatically, including attachments. It reads the request, checks it against the team's stored playbooks and past deals, and prepares an analysis, a recommendation and a drafted reply, with a citation linking each point back to its source document or playbook clause. When a decision requires human judgment, it presents the options with a recommended choice; a lawyer selects one and the reply is ready to send, since Neomatter never sends anything on its own. Playbooks capture the team's standard position, fallbacks, who can approve each fallback, and the walk-away line, and every change to a playbook requires approval and is visible in a change history. A dashboard shows every open request, who owns it, and what it is waiting on across the team.
