The Problem

Mac users with a camera notch, or even those without one, have dead space at the top of their screen that goes unused while they juggle separate apps for clipboard history, now playing controls, file transfers, weather, stocks, system stats, timers, and AI chat. Today they open and switch between many small utilities or native macOS panels to get this information, which adds friction throughout the day. The text positions competing notch apps as either bloated, decorative, or missing many of these tools, leaving a gap for a single lightweight utility that consolidates them in one place.

The Solution

OmniNotch is a macOS utility that lives in or around the notch and bundles twenty tools into one panel, opened by hover or click. It includes Ask Omni, an on-device AI chat powered by Apple Intelligence Foundation Models that never sends data off the Mac; a Now Playing control; a File Shelf for drag-and-drop AirDrop sharing; a searchable Clipboard history that skips password-manager clips; an AI Usage tracker reading local CLI token limits for tools like Claude and Copilot; a Sales dashboard pulling totals from Stripe, Shopify, and other providers via read-only Keychain-stored API keys; plus calendar, reminders, to-dos, weather, stocks, emoji search, a unit converter, system stats, quick notes, a teleprompter, and a camera mirror. It runs on macOS Sonoma or later on Apple Silicon and Intel Macs, drawing its own floating notch on Macs that lack a physical one, and is signed and notarized by Apple.
