Pagesmith
Pagesmith is an AI website builder that lets businesses import an existing site or describe a new one, then edit and pub
The Problem
Small businesses, agencies, and site owners often want to launch or rebuild a website quickly but are stuck choosing between rigid drag-and-drop builders that lock them into a platform, or custom development that requires coding skills and ongoing maintenance. Existing sites on WordPress, Wix, Squarespace, or Webflow are hard to modernize or migrate without starting over. Site owners also worry about whether their content will be visible to search engines and AI systems like ChatGPT or Perplexity, since many app-like site builders do not deliver crawlable page content. Making ongoing edits, adding blog posts, or collecting leads typically means juggling separate tools, plugins, or developer requests, which adds cost and delay.
The Solution
Pagesmith generates a website either from a written brief or by importing an existing public site's content and design direction, producing an editable draft that users review before publishing. Sites can be edited through plain-English prompts, visual controls, or code workflows, and the platform handles publishing, SSL, and hosting via managed Cloudflare delivery. It uses a static-first Astro output so the main page content is sent as HTML, and includes crawlable pages, metadata, sitemaps, and structured data for search and social sharing (auto-generated link previews). Every site ships with built-in contact forms, lead capture, a simple blog and page editor, and analytics, all managed from one dashboard. On eligible paid plans, users can export the underlying Astro project to self-host or hand to a developer, avoiding platform lock-in.
