Pinch
Pinch provides an API and browser tool that dubs video and audio into 10 languages while preserving the original
The Problem
Creators, podcasters, course instructors, marketers and companies with video or audio content often need to reach audiences in other languages. Traditional dubbing requires hiring voiceover talent for each market, and many AI dubbing tools produce flat, literal translations that strip out the original speaker's tone, warmth and background audio. This makes localizing a back catalog of videos, podcast episodes, courses or training material slow and expensive, especially for anyone who wants to publish the same content across multiple languages without losing what made the original recording sound natural.
The Solution
Pinch offers a dubbing API and browser-based 'dubbing studio' that takes a video or audio URL and target language, transcribes and translates the speech with natural phrasing rather than literal word-for-word translation, synthesizes the result in the original speaker's voice, and keeps background music and ambience intact. Users can preview and fix speaker identification, edit the transcript and translation line by line, and see estimated cost before generating the final dub. It supports MP4, MOV, WebM, MP3 and WAV files, covers 10 languages including Spanish, French, German, Japanese and Chinese, and returns downloadable output within a 48-hour link window. Pinch also offers a live translation product for meetings and webinars, an early-beta Mac desktop app that translates a user's own mic into any app, and a managed service where Pinch's team dubs a customer's content and a person reviews every file before delivery.
