Pluto Door
Pluto Door is a native Mac SSH client with an AI agent that investigates and fixes server issues with user approval.
The Problem
Developers and sysadmins managing Linux servers and cloud accounts typically juggle a plain SSH terminal, separate cloud consoles for AWS, Google Cloud and Azure, and manual processes for installing software, checking logs, and monitoring disks, backups and certificates. Diagnosing a production issue means manually reading logs and running commands across possibly multiple tools, with no record of what was checked or changed. Keeping credentials secure often means trusting third-party tools or cloud-synced storage for SSH keys, passwords and cloud credentials, which creates risk when pointed at production systems.
The Solution
Pluto Door is a native Mac app that combines a classic SSH client, an AI agent called Ori, and a full desktop environment (Pluto XOS) for each server with windows, a dock, Spotlight and 15 apps covering files, processes, logs, services and installs. Ori investigates problems by reading logs and running commands, proposes plans that the user approves once, flags risky or access-cutting commands for explicit confirmation, and keeps copies of files so changes can be undone. It also runs scheduled checks on disks, backups and certificates with macOS notifications, and can connect to AWS, Google Cloud and Azure to find idle resources, open ports and cost waste. Users bring their own Anthropic or OpenAI API key, and all servers, SSH keys, cloud accounts and Ori's history are stored locally in the macOS Keychain rather than in the company's cloud, with secret masking applied to command output before it reaches the AI model.
