Praxis
Praxis is an AI system that runs a law firm's client journey end to end, from first inquiry to paid invoice
The Problem
Law firm founders quoted on the site describe losing significant time to administrative work: one lost about ninety minutes a day to client setup and engagement letters, another spent a year stitching together separate intake, conflicts and billing systems. Inquiries need to be answered quickly, qualified, checked for conflicts, and turned into engagement letters, while client data and documents must be collected and verified for every matter. Firms also need to track matter progress, keep clients informed, and send and chase invoices to get paid. Today this work is done manually or through a patchwork of disconnected tools, and the site argues most existing legal software still just waits for someone to type into it rather than doing this work.
The Solution
Praxis uses AI agents to handle the administrative work of running a law firm while a human lawyer reviews and approves every step. It answers and qualifies inbound inquiries against a firm's own rules, runs conflict checks before engagement, and drafts engagement letters for approval. It builds a client record directly from the inquiry so data is not entered twice, collects and verifies client documents, keeps clients updated on matter status in real time, and sends and chases invoices to collect revenue. It integrates with the calendar, email, e-signature, billing and practice management tools a firm already uses, pulling context and triggering actions without manual copy-paste. The site also states client data is encrypted, kept separate between firms, and never used to train AI models.
