The Problem

Developers running AI coding agents or long-lived dev sessions need a machine that keeps working after they close their laptop, but existing options fall short. GitHub Codespaces runs on a VM that stops when idle, cutting off agents or background jobs overnight. Coder requires a team to operate its own servers and a platform team to run it. Neither option lets a developer walk away at the end of the day and trust that tmux sessions, dev servers, or coding agents keep running untouched until morning.

The Solution

Prized sets up a dedicated Linux dev box in one command via a curl install script, giving developers their own editor, terminal, and SSH access without managing infrastructure. Ports on the box map directly to localhost on the developer's laptop, so a server started on the box appears locally about two seconds later with no config, and ports can be shared with teammates via a generated link. Files sync two ways between laptop and box, including git state, so edits from either a human or an agent appear on the other side within about a second. The box keeps running when the lid is closed, so agents, dev servers, and sessions continue working overnight, viewable later from a browser dashboard that shows CPU, memory, disk, and running processes across the workspace at seven selectable box sizes. The company also offers Sandboxes, ephemeral machines created and torn down through an API or CLI, billed per second and seeded by free account credit.

Why Now?

The product is framed around AI coding agents needing machines that run continuously rather than stopping when a developer's laptop sleeps or a session goes idle.
