The Problem

Lawyers, compliance officers, and researchers who must track new regulations across many jurisdictions currently rely heavily on manual research. The most important updates are often posted to obscure local government websites, draft bill portals, consultation pages, non-English sources, or even informal channels like LinkedIn and X, places traditional search engines and language models never see. One co-founder experienced this firsthand as a regulatory researcher at Paul, Weiss, where tracking legislation across 45 countries for a client required manual searches and retaining local counsel in every jurisdiction because no existing tool could do it. The cost is time: critical regulatory changes get missed or found too late, and teams spend nights hunting for updates across languages and jurisdictions.

The Solution

Regbase uses AI agents to search, analyze, and track regulatory developments across any country, state, or language. The process has three steps: agents search the web using many providers to build a database and match results to official legal text; users can ask natural-language questions about deadlines, penalties, or other details, with answers citing specific sections of the source document; and the platform sends automatic email alerts as laws change, configurable in natural language. It surfaces sources other tools miss, including local government portals, untranslated non-English laws, regulator social media posts, and documents hidden behind QR codes or registration gates. Regbase organizes coverage by practice area, such as Employment & Labor, AI Governance, Healthcare, Privacy, Government Vendors, Climate & Sustainability, Private Equity, and Regulated Industries.
