RepoClip
RepoClip turns a GitHub repository URL into an AI-generated demo video with script, visuals and narration in minutes.
The Problem
Developers and open source maintainers who want to showcase a project for feature announcements, investor pitches, social media, or open source promotion typically must hire a freelancer or spend significant manual effort to write a script, produce visuals, and record narration. This costs time and money, with the site citing over $500 saved per video versus hiring a freelancer. Non-technical audiences and busy developers alike need a fast way to explain complex code changes visually rather than through text alone.
The Solution
RepoClip lets a user paste a public or private GitHub repository URL, after which its AI analyzes the code structure and features using Gemini 2.5 Flash to generate a script. It then produces AI visuals: still images via Nano Banana 2 and cinematic AI video clips with dynamic camera movement via Kling 3.0 Pro on pro plans, plus professional narration generated through OpenAI's standard text-to-speech preset voices (no voice cloning). Users can supply custom instructions to control tone, visual style, voice, and content focus, and private repos are supported by connecting a GitHub account. The product also offers a Public API and an official GitHub Action (repoclip/generate-video) for CI/CD integration, and most videos are generated within about 5 minutes.
