Maxxwell gives developers running many coding agents at once a single workspace to see which ones are stuck and need

The Problem

Developers who run multiple coding agents at the same time end up babysitting them across separate windows and terminals, checking each one to see if it is still making progress. Agents can get stuck asking questions, re-reading the same files, hitting runtime errors, or stalling with nothing to show for many tool calls, and this is easy to miss when several agents are running in parallel. Without a way to tell which lane is actually stuck, more agents running at once just means more windows to watch rather than more work getting done.

The Solution

Maxxwell is a desktop and CLI tool (macOS, Windows, Linux) that lets you brief a managing agent to open one lane per task and coordinate coding agents such as Claude Code and Codex, with every session visible in one workspace. It ranks lanes by what has actually landed, so a lane burning time with no file writes drops to the bottom and surfaces as needing attention. For a stuck lane it shows specifics like elapsed time since the last file write, the number of tool calls since then, and the actual question the agent is stuck on, rather than just a status label. You can answer the question or take over directly from that same window, and the lane resumes. It works with coding agent subscriptions or API keys you already have, and can also be installed via a CLI script.
