ShowBuild

People who launch small products, side projects or startups need a way to get discovered by both search engines and the AI systems that increasingly answer discovery queries. Posting on generic forums or closed communities often does not help with search visibility or backlinks, so a new build can go unseen even if it is good. ShowBuild's pitch is aimed at these builders, who today might rely on scattered submissions to other directories or social posts on X without any lasting SEO benefit. The cost to them is lost visibility and no durable backlink equity for their project's site.

ShowBuild is a directory where makers submit a build and get a dedicated page listed under categories such as Marketing, Development, Design, For Sale, Personal Life and Business. Each submission can earn a strong dofollow backlink and an SEO optimized page that the site says is discoverable by both AI tools and search engines. Builds are ranked by points and sorted into top and new lists, with visible vote counts, comment counts and submitter handles, similar to Hacker News. The site also offers categories, guides, alternatives pages and a badge, and reports its own Domain Rating (DR 38) alongside counts of listed projects (183 builds across the categories shown).
