SinceWhen
SinceWhen is an iPhone/iPad app that remembers the last time you did something irregular and predicts when it's due
The Problem
People do certain things on an irregular schedule, like replacing a toothbrush, changing oil, or tracking a period, and can never recall exactly when they last did it, usually answering 'a while ago' when asked by a doctor or mechanic. Fixed-schedule tools like calendars and reminders don't fit because these events don't happen on a set date. Habit-tracking apps are built around daily streaks, which punish missed days and feel pointless once a streak breaks, making them a bad fit for things done every few weeks or months. This leaves a gap for tracking things that recur, just not predictably.
The Solution
SinceWhen lets a user log an event with one tap, storing the date without requiring any schedule setup. After a few logs it learns the rhythm (e.g. 'usually every 6 weeks') and shows how long it's been since the last time and when it's likely due next, using a 'pattern aware' approach that can skip one-off long gaps. It supports logging from Home Screen and Lock Screen widgets, Siri voice commands, Shortcuts, and NFC tags, plus backdating, notes, multi-day events (pause/resume for trips or illness), categories, and gentle non-punishing nudges instead of streak-based reminders. Data stays on-device and syncs via the user's own iCloud with no account, ads, or analytics, and history can be exported as JSON.
