The Problem

Developers who need social or web data today have to build and maintain separate scrapers for each platform, such as TikTok, Instagram, YouTube, Reddit, and dozens of others, each with different auth, pagination, and response formats. Teams end up juggling multiple vendors and scrapers, plus custom glue code to normalize the outputs, and cron jobs that break when platforms change. One customer quote describes replacing six scrapers, three vendors, and a Slack channel of broken cron jobs. This patchwork costs engineering time that could go toward the actual product, and general-purpose scraping platforms like Apify still require writing or buying actors and paying for compute minutes.

The Solution

SocialCrawl provides a unified scraping API covering 65 platforms and 572 endpoints, all returning the same response shape of author, engagement, and metadata, so no platform-specific glue code is needed. Access is through one API key and one auth token, with a single unified schema across social networks, e-commerce sites like Amazon and Walmart, search tools, and finance/review sources. It includes a Universal Search endpoint that queries across all platforms at once, plus features for brand monitoring, sentiment scoring, trend detection with velocity scores, and competitive intelligence. The product is built to be agent-ready, with an MCP server for tools like Claude and Cursor, installable skills for autonomous agent onboarding, and SDKs in six languages with typed responses, retries, and rate limits handled.
