Sponkly
Sponkly offers end-to-end encrypted chats, calls and video meetings with live translation across 32 languages
The Problem
People who need to talk with family, friends, clients, landlords or colleagues abroad face a language barrier in chat, voice calls and video meetings. Today they rely on human interpreters, multilingual staff, or separate translation tools bolted onto existing apps like Google Meet, Teams and Zoom, none of which handles chat, calls and meetings in one encrypted place. Businesses that want to serve international customers often resort to hiring translators or multilingual sales and support teams. Website owners have no easy way to let visitors write, call or video call in their own language and get a live-translated reply. This costs time, money, and limits who a person or business can actually communicate with.
The Solution
Sponkly is an app (iPhone, Android, web and a Chrome extension) that provides end-to-end encrypted chats, voice and video calls, and video meetings for up to 8 people, all with live translation across 32 languages, delivered as subtitles and a spoken natural voice about 1-2 seconds after each sentence. A Chrome extension adds live subtitles and spoken translation over Google Meet, Teams, Zoom and any video like YouTube or webinars without requiring others to install anything. SpeakBot lets businesses add one line of code to their website so visitors can chat, call or video call in their own language while the team replies in theirs, translated live, with an AI receptionist answering from the business's own information when no one is available. Other features include Video Studio for translating and dubbing short videos, a Face to Face mode for two people sharing one phone, meeting transcripts on paid plans, up to 4 linked devices, and an MCP integration so AI assistants like Claude, ChatGPT, Cursor and VS Code can translate text and manage SpeakBot conversations.
