The Problem

Developers building iOS apps with coding agents need a way to test real builds on an actual iPhone, not just a simulator. Doing this normally requires tools like a VPN or Tailscale, or manual Xcode and provisioning steps, to get a build onto a physical device. Sqim's page frames this as a setup burden that sideloading solves differently, letting an agent push builds straight to the phone.

The Solution

Sqim is a CLI tool installed via Homebrew (brew install milq-ai/tap/sqim) that integrates with coding agents such as Codex and Claude Code, as well as Termius and Cursor. After installation, running sqim setup all installs SKILL.md files for the supported agents, and sqim login authenticates the user. Developers then ask their coding agent to use Sqim to push an app build to their iPhone, which installs directly from a hosted webpage without needing a VPN or Tailscale, though a paid Apple Developer account is required to sideload. A builds dashboard lets users manage and re-access every project they've pushed through Sqim.
