Taan.ai
Taan.ai generates original, royalty-free background music synced to a video's cuts and mood for creators and video
The Problem
Creators, editors and small production teams who need background music for video often have to search stock libraries for tracks that approximate the right mood and then manually cut or stretch the audio to match scene changes, pauses and tone shifts. Licensing concerns around copyrighted music add another layer of friction. This leaves people without a composer on staff settling for music that does not quite fit the timing or emotional arc of their footage, or spending time manually editing tracks to align with cuts.
The Solution
Taan takes a video, a script, an audio reference, or any combination of the three, and generates an original soundtrack synced to the video's cuts and mood in one pass. Users can optionally give plain-language direction (e.g. '8 seconds of tension, pause 2 seconds, then uplifting') or let Taan infer the right feel on its own. It also supports granular edits, letting users adjust a single instrument's mood or timing without regenerating the whole track. Output includes a full mix in MP3 or WAV or individual stems (violin, piano, drums), and the music is trained on 100% licensed material with perpetual commercial usage rights. Access is available via MCP and API as well as the web product.
