The Problem

Groups who want to play party games like Taboo, Heads Up or a bluffing game such as Mafia/Imposter typically need separate physical card decks, a buzzer, or sheets of paper for each game. Running a themed game night (Halloween, movies, travel, sports) usually means buying multiple boxed games, and generic card sets don't flex to a group's inside jokes or specific interests. Many existing game apps also interrupt play with ads or lock content behind subscriptions. Tadado's own FAQ and feature list ('No ads, zero subscriptions', 'one phone, three kinds of chaos') frame these as the pain points it targets.

The Solution

Tadado is a smartphone app that bundles three pass-the-phone party games, Forbidden Words (a Taboo-style describing game with escalating word-difficulty multipliers from x2 to x5), Heads Up (forehead-guessing), and Imposter (a bluffing mode), all playable from a single shared deck. Users start free with the Tadado Mix deck, then unlock themed decks (Summer, Cinema, Travel, Sport, Heroes, Night Games, Genius Only, Halloween) or build their own custom deck by typing any topic into an AI deck generator, which produces cards usable in both Forbidden Words and Heads Up. The app works offline, needs no account to play, carries no ads, and uses one-time purchases ($1.99 for a single deck, $1.99-$9.99 for AI deck packs, or $14.99 for full access) instead of subscriptions. It supports 17 languages and currently highlights a free Halloween-themed word deck tied to the holiday.
