TrueMile
TrueMile provides an AI operations team for trucking companies, handling freight sourcing, planning, dispatch
The Problem
Trucking dispatchers must source freight, plan weekly truck and driver assignments, adapt plans when disruptions happen, and keep customers, brokers, and drivers informed, all while juggling multiple disconnected tools like TMS systems, ELDs, load boards, and messaging channels. A single change, such as a driver calling out, ripples into coverage gaps, revised plans, and a cascade of conversations that dispatchers must manually coordinate across email, WhatsApp, Teams, and phone calls. The founder describes living this problem firsthand while rebuilding his family's trucking business at 19, needing to constantly find freight, keep trucks covered, adjust plans, and keep everyone informed.
The Solution
TrueMile is a platform built around four coordinated AI agents, Sourcing, Planning, Dispatch, and Communications, that work together while connecting to a carrier's existing systems including McLeod, Trimble, PCS, Aljex, Samsara, Truckstop, EDI, customer portals, WhatsApp, Outlook, Microsoft Teams, and Gmail. The Sourcing agent finds freight across spot markets and existing customers, Planning builds a coordinated weekly plan from freight and capacity, Dispatch assigns loads to trucks and drivers and prepares reassignments when availability changes, and Communications drafts driver and broker updates. When disruptions occur, such as a driver becoming unavailable, the system identifies affected loads, prepares a revised assignment, and drafts communications, but the dispatcher reviews and approves changes before they are executed, keeping the team in control rather than fully automating decisions.
