Developers and researchers who work with AI coding agents today rely on chat, meetings, Slack, Kanban boards, and Jira to plan and steer work, tools the company's own blog argues were not designed for humans or machines and are now incompatible with AI-driven development. Coding agent harnesses are built to keep momentum: inspect the repo, make an assumption, edit code, run tests, keep going, which means context and reasoning get lost rather than captured. Steering multiple agents through extended chat and meetings makes it hard to asynchronously understand why decisions were made or to revisit past planning. Teams lose a durable, searchable record of jobs, bugs, and discussion, and have no structured way for AI to ask a maker's opinion before proceeding.

Uclusion is a workspace built around jobs, bugs, swimlanes, and views (like My Work) where structured comments let AI ask a maker's opinion and store context in a form that persists and can be reopened later. It connects to coding agents such as Claude Code, Cursor, and Codex through MCP and CLI, plus Github Actions and Slack, so agents can list available work in the right stage, monitor pokes and responses, suggest potential bugs or features, and search the whole workspace. The product modifies coding agent harness prompts to enable human-in-the-loop collaboration, letting a maker track tokens by job, steer multiple agents, and add humans into any AI collaboration rather than working through unstructured chat.
