Usetally
Usetally lets freelancers and small businesses send quotes, invoices and receipts while tracking hidden costs and real
The Problem
Freelancers and small businesses often quote a job price but lose track of the real costs behind it, like data, fuel, transport, software and freelance help. Because none of these costs show up on the invoice, most small businesses never see their actual profit margin on a job. They also lack a simple way to turn a quote into an invoice, collect payment through the channels their customers prefer, and work out tax owed without manual calculation or a separate accountant step.
The Solution
Usetally combines quoting, invoicing, payment collection and receipts in one flow. Users price a job, add hidden costs like fuel or software subscriptions, and see their profit margin before sending; the tool suggests a price if margin is thin. Customers accept branded quotes via a shared link on any phone without an account, then pay by bank transfer, Bachs, Paystack, Flutterwave or Stripe directly into the business owner's own account, since Usetally never holds the money. Once paid, a numbered receipt is generated automatically and can be printed on A4, Letter, A5, or 80mm/58mm thermal rolls. The product also calculates tax per invoice and aggregates it for any period for export to an accountant, and in Nigeria offers a 'File & pay for me' option via a tax consultant. Team accounts support role-based permissions so junior staff can draft documents while only designated users see costs and profit, and the app works offline, syncing when back online.
