The Problem
Lifters who train seriously often finish a workout feeling strong but a week later cannot remember what they lifted, so they guess again and their progress slows. The text frames this as a tracking failure rather than a discipline failure: nothing was recorded, so nothing can be compared next session. Many existing workout apps either bury users in unneeded features (social feeds, gamification, AI-generated plans) or are too basic to hold up once training gets serious. This leaves self-guided lifters, bodybuilders and powerlifters without a clean way to record sets and see exactly what they did last time.
The Solution
VigiGym is a native SwiftUI iPhone and Apple Watch app for logging workouts with sliders, pickers, big glove-friendly buttons and swipe gestures instead of typing. It includes a modular builder for straight sets, supersets, giant sets, drop sets and pyramid sets, 242 built-in exercises plus custom exercise creation, and a built-in 1RM calculator that generates guide weights for hypertrophy, strength or endurance. A long-press lets users adjust achieved reps and weight right after a set, and Pro users can make those values their new defaults for next time. The app tracks volume, streaks and monthly comparisons for free with a 20-day history, while Pro unlocks full history, progression per exercise, muscle balance and heart-rate analytics. The Apple Watch app is a standalone experience with real-time heart rate tracking, rest timers, Apple Health sync and no phone required, and all data stays local on-device by default with optional iCloud sync.
